Wedding Bells

William went to Toronto (well, Picton really) for Elizabeth and Russell's wedding. We're rather proud of this one, since they hooked up at OUR wedding! Whee! Unfortunately, a weekend jaunt across the continent didn't make sense for the sprog, so the rest of us had to stay behind. Here's the happy couple!

Camping in Big Basin

Crazy us went camping in Big Basin with 2 little kids. Iain was fine, but there wasn't much for a non-walker like Ria to do. Here's a few pictures:

Bike Trailer!

Today, in honor of a 20% off coupon and the fact that Ria will be 1 next month (and thus can soon ride in bike trailers or on bike seats), we picked up a bike trailer for me to use! It can fit both kids, but only Iain is allowed to ride in it for the moment.

Birthday / Birthmonth updates!

Whee! The kids are growing! Ria is now 11 months and Iain is 4 years!!!!

Ria is, as mentioned earlier, sitting nicely now (finally!). She creeps along on her belly everywhere, but doesn't do a proper crawl yet. She's working on pulling to her knees, but not quite there. She seems to have decided that only wimpy babies roll, so now she only propels herself in a linear fashion, beeline for the item in question. Her current goal is to climb stairs....again, not quite there yet ;-). Her "words" are "kitty" ("Ki-ee", or "ka" for "cat"), "t-th" for "teeth", "da-da", and "buh-buh" ("brother"). We can usually tell she's using her "words" only when the item in question is in the room with her, being stared at. 6 teeth still. Haven't weighed her or measured her in a while.

Our big 4 year old (39 1/4 inches, 37.2 pounds) is entering year 2 of pre-school next week (eep! Kindergarten in just one year!). He rides his bike (with training wheels) quite well now. He reads quite well (especially his favorite: Calvin and Hobbes!). He loves to build things, and loves to make Ria laugh (especially when he doesn't think we're looking ;-). He's just a lovely sweet boy.
