July 2018 - Toronto!

We were home for only 2.5 weeks (and William for not quite 2) when we were off again, this time to Toronto ;-).

We started off all touristy, and toured Casa Loma.  Very cool castle built by an over-rich dude in the 1910's, who was eventually poor as a church mouse, and felt Toronto needed a castle on the top of the escarpment.

(check it out, I made the blog column wider, and now i can have 2 pictures per column, apparently!!!)

....but the audio tour wouldn't give us any fun dirt about the guy, just super-extended architectural and art details, so we blew off the audio tour.  Here's 3 people wishing the audio tour were better - I'd already given up by then.

Super nifty multi-head shower with separate controls for each  of 6 shower heads:

Nifty angles complete with an exhausted Ria ("my old enemy... stairs")... many, many stairs!

We went through the tunnels to the separate bit of property....it was quite a hike, but I had fun taking pictures along the way!

We stayed in a 27th floor Airbnb, where the view at night was amazing!

We only managed to have pictures with Jen and Andrew, the rest of the clan was gone (this was our 2nd soccer game of the summer):

We hooked up with William's childhood friend Andrea and her son David on the island:

We saw Jeff, Debbie, and Tom at a great pub, and played games:

At Andrea's BBQ, William got to connect with old TFS friends, Robin, Leanna, Andrea and Mo:

A nice young boy played with our camera and took some cute sparkly photos of William and I:

We even managed to see a bit of family!  Andrew and Hartley only, unfortunately, but we got to see Hartley in soccer game #3 of 3 for the summer!

We also had funky smoking liquid nitrogen ice cream, and read books outdoors:

....and read books indoors, and played with the camera while waiting for lunch.

Goodness, I'm getting quite excessive with the pictures as I get closer to my goal of caught up!!
